Six ways to put your design on a garment.
The dye-sublimation method uses special inks to transfer full-colour images to fabrics. Suitable for white poly-cotton garments only, it gives an excellent result — it's impossible to feel the print on the garment, and ironing directly over it won't affect it. Great for photos or any graphic up to A3, in both low and high production runs.
A more traditional method: the logo is split into its colour segments to make a screen template for each colour (max 6), then each is applied separately. The set-up makes it most economical for runs of 30 garments or more. It works on coloured garments and best on cotton or poly-cotton — t-shirts, polos, hoodies, sweatshirts, gym sacks, tote bags. The finish is very robust with a slight raised feel; garments are ironed inside out.
Vinyl technologies are now as robust as screen-printed alternatives. Designs are converted to vector (CAD) so a CAM machine can cut text, shapes or silhouettes from vinyl, which is then heat-applied to the garment. Different colours can be layered for multi-coloured logos, with finishes including glitter, holographic and reflective. Ideal for sponsor logos & squad numbers on football shirts, personalising leavers hoodies or schoolwear with names and initials. Extremely robust with a slight raised feel; ironed inside out.
Our DTG process prints full-colour images directly onto white or dark garments using the latest technology and special inks (including white). It delivers rich, bright colours with gradient fades, and needs no expensive screen set-up — so it suits both small and large runs. Submit designs in PNG format; max print size 16x20 / 406x508mm.
Plastisol transfers are robust, screen-printed transfers — featuring full-colour designs — that can be applied to garments as and when you need them. Order transfers in bulk and have them applied later, cutting down on up-front garment investment while making repeat orders simple.
DTF prints a design onto PET film using water-based inks and a special powder adhesive, then heat-presses it onto the fabric. The results are detailed and vibrant, and — unlike DTG — it works across many different fabric types, for small or large runs. Prints are more durable and stretchy than vinyl or screen-printed designs: the ink bonds to the fabric so it won't crack, peel or fade, and withstands repeated washes. Our in-house department produces DTF prints from one shirt to many thousands.
